He loved to lay on his stomach with his back legs stretched out. He would willingly lay in my hands. I knew my time with him would be short but never thought it would only be 2 months. He passed at 4 months old.

Duke was my best friend. I got him when I was 7 and had him almost 11 years. We rescued him from an abusive home where he had never been outside before and we showed him love and compassion. Duke turned out to be a well behaved, loving, silly, sweet boy who only wanted to cuddle. He was the biggest goof and I miss him so much, my heart breaks more and more without him. Duke, I love you buddy. Things have been hard and it’s so difficult to go on without you, but I’m doing it. I asked you to send me a new friend and you did. Harbor is 8 months old and full of life, you would have disliked her because she loves to play, but she is fantastic. Thank you for my new friend, though I will always miss you. I love you so much, my little caboose train, rest easy.
